Attack Editor Eric Brünjes is joined by Chloé to discuss her 20+ years as a DJ/producer, her SloMo A/V project and how to build a live set.
Chloé’s relationship with sound has long been associated with exploration and ideation. In a career that spans 20+ years, she gravitated from her earliest incarnate as a DJ/producer to become an architect of cathartic audio and visual experiences.
Her projects are far-reaching, traversing the worlds of art, music, and film, a journey that led to the birth of her SloMo A/V concept in 2015. With SloMo A/V Chloé collaborates with Paris-based art director Dune Lunel and ECV Digital alumni Adrien Godin. It pairs ambient soundscapes with an amorphous backdrop of abstract and geographic imagery.
Throughout each performance, Chloé uses an array of gear to continuously reprocess, decompose, and remix the music, producing a range of impressionist ambient textures that project from a screen behind her.
SloMo A/V is now available to purchase for the first time in its decade-long tenure. A nearly full set, edited for the limited vinyl length, is available in vinyl and digital formats.
