Attack - Top Tracks - Feat Image AME

German duo and Innvervisions co-founders, Âme, have just released their remix of Mind Against ‘Love Seeking’. Combining techno, breakbeat, and pop elements with a euphoric underbelly, you can hear the various influences creeping in. But what are those? We find out.

It’s nearly 20 years since “Rej,” from Âme a genre-defining composition. The 2005 record became one of techno’s most popular and enduring pieces of music and impossible to avoid on a night out. But it would be wrong to pigeonhole the group just on one song. There’s more strings to their bow.

Âme has evolved continuously since, challenging club-goers’ expectations with their conceptually driven and thoroughly visceral music. The members of Âme often perform separately, with Beyer on DJ duties and Wiedemann playing live sets.

Furthermore, Âme are also partners at Innervisions label/collective with Dixon, fostering the future of house and techno with carefully selected releases, all-encompassing live events, and their boutique shop. Âme remains at the forefront of electronic music, but what tracks power them?

What’s the first record you ever bought?

Erasure – Wonderland.

The first time you remember hearing electronic music?

The first time hearing electronic music was probably listening to Kraftwerk in my parents house.

Your favourite ever record?

Brian Eno – Another Green World.

The guaranteed floor-filler?

The newest Trikk demo.

The best tune from last year?

Depends on the circumstances, but according to my Aslice, one of my most played songs is Trikk’s Rigor.

The guilty pleasure?

Ambient music.

The last track of the night?

Always depends!

The best chillout record?

Can’t be the same one, it needs alternation.

The best record for a family party?

Well, it’s my daughter’s choice…

The soundtrack to a lazy Sunday afternoon?

The last non-dance records I bought…

The worst record you’ve ever heard

I’ve managed to forget.

The record you’re proudest of?

Our next album, ‘ASA,’ didn’t come out as a single album, but it may well be part of it.

Âme’s remix of Mind Against ‘Love Seeking’ is out now via DJ Tennis’s Life and Death label.
