Pig Room Podcast EP 8 – David Castellani

CD, CD Çalar, DVD, DVD Çalar, SACD, LP, Plak Çeşitleri ve Fiyatları

David Castellani Attack Mag

Attack Editor Eric Brünjes sits with David Castellani to talk techno.

Originally from Italy, David Castellani moved to the US when he was about ten. Initially based in Chicago, he’s now based in Los Angeles, a city with a great techno grounding.

We featured David’s incredible studio last year, and we always wanted to speak to him further about his performance techniques and studio processes. Playing live is a challenge; over the last few years, he’s perfected the art. He also leans in on his studies with the late Afro-Cubin percussionist Juma Santos, who featured on the legendary Miles Davis album ‘Bitches Brew’.

But beyond that, he also has his own modular company, Anti Kultur, which he runs with his partner. In 2021 Castellani launched his record label Noetic in 2021, smart & dynamic techno with a focus on synthesizers and analog hardware. The label has homed seven releases from Castellani so far, featuring remixes from Redshape, Matrixxman, Voiski & Etapp Kyle.

If you’re looking for a deepdive on technique and techno, this is the episode for you..
