The legendary stars’ home will soon be available for rent on Airbnb.

In what might be considered a slight surprise for fans of Prince, his legendary iconic home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will soon be available for rent on Airbnb. The late artist, who passed away at 57 in 2016 from an accidental fentanyl overdose, had purchased the property a year before his death.

Next month it will open its doors to a few lucky fans, courtesy of Prince’s former bandmates from The Revolution – Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman.

In a statement to Airbnb, the duo expressed their excitement: “We were fortunate to be part of the Minneapolis music scene during such a pivotal time for rock, playing alongside Prince in one of the most iconic bands of our generation and starring with him in Purple Rain.”

Fans staying at the home will gain exclusive access to Purple Rain-themed art and music, as well as the property’s distinctive features. The residence, recently restored, includes purple velvet wallpaper, a retro 1980s stereo system, a clawfoot tub, drums, and stained-glass windows. Guests will even get a glimpse inside Prince’s wardrobe, filled with his legendary outfits.

There’s also a hidden treasure room accessible through a secret door, which guests can discover during their stay. The rental opportunity is limited to 25 one-night stays, with booking requests opening from October 2 at 6:00 AM PT until October 6 at 11:59 PM PT on Airbnb’s website. Stays will take place between October 26 and December 14, allowing up to four guests per booking.
